Officers have charged a suspect after a hazardous substance was thrown at a woman in Glasgow city centre.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Buchanan Street at around 6.20pm on Sunday evening.
A 46-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment following the alleged attack.
Police arrested and charged a 51-year-old woman in connection with the “worrying incident”.
She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
Chief Inspector Stephen McManus said: “We understand this was a worrying incident and thank the public for their assistance.
“Officers will be in the area and anyone with any concerns can approach them.”
