A woman has been taken to hospital after she was allegedly attacked by a pocket bully in North Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to the garden of a property in the New Stevenson area at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, following reports of a dog attack.
A 26-year-old woman has been taken to the University Hospital in Wishaw to receive treatment to her injuries.
Officers have seized the dog, believed to be a pocket bully, following the reported attack.
Police have arrested a 47-year-old man and 36-year-old woman following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.30pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 police received a report of a woman having been attacked by a dog within a garden area of a property in the New Stevenson area of North Lanarkshire.
“The 26-year-old woman has been taken to the University Hospital in Wishaw where she is being treated for her injuries.
“The dog has been seized by police.
“A 47-year-old man and 36-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.”
