A woman is in a “serious condition” in hospital after a crash involving two Audis in South Lanarkshire.
Officers are appealing for witnesses after the collision on the A721 between Carstairs and the Harelaw Roundabout at around 1.30pm on Thursday, October 3.
The woman, the driver of a red Audi A3, was taken to the Wishaw General Hospital where her condition is described as serious but stable.
The 54-year-old man, the driver of a grey Audi A3, was also taken to hospital for treatment.
The road was closed and re-opened at around 5.30pm on Thursday.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone witnessed the crash to please get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation to contact us.”
