A woman has been punched in the face by a man who stole her bike in Glasgow.

The 32-year-old woman was cycling along Queens Drive, near to Niddrie Square at 12.30am on Sunday when she was approached by the man who tried to steal her bike.

A struggle ensued and the woman was punched by the man who made off on the bike towards Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow. 

The woman did not require hospital treatment following the attack. 

The suspect is described as Asian in appearance, early 30s, 5ft 9in height, of medium build, dark hair, clean shaven and was wearing dark clothing. 

The bike is a blue and white road bike and has the wording ‘MERIDA’ on the frame.

Constable Jamie Whitton said: “Although the woman did not need to go to hospital, this robbery was very distressing for her. 

“If you have any information about the incident, then please contact police via 101 quoting reference number 1968 of June 7, 2020.
