A woman has been left injured after being robbed by three masked men armed with weapons in an early morning housebreaking.
The 38-year-old was in her home near Douglas, Lanark, when the men broke in at around 9.40am on Tuesday.
They then threatened her before making off with a four-figure sum and several personal items in a dark coloured Ford Focus or Fiesta.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was left badly shaken by the incident.
Police are now appealing for information.
Detective Sergeant Scott Wilson said : “The victim has been badly shaken by the events which took place in her own home and I am appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“We are keen to speak to any pedestrians who may have been walking on or around roads in the Douglas / Uddington area I would also appeal to motorists who were in the area who may have dash cam footage to come forward.
“You may have captured something that can assist our enquiries.”
