Woman struck by car in hit and run as police hunt white car driver

Police are now carrying out enquiries to trace the driver of the car.

A woman is in hospital after a hit and run on Friday morning in Glasgow.

At around 11.50am on Friday March 22, a 64-year-old woman was struck by a white car that failed to stop on Bearsden Road, near to Sutcliffe Road in the Anniesland area of the city.

She was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police are now carrying out enquiries to trace the driver of the car.

Road policing constable Cameron Perry said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace the white car and the driver. 

“I would urge any witnesses to the crash who have not yet spoken to police to please contact us as soon as possible.

“I would also appeal to anyone with dash-cam to check their footage for anything that may assist our ongoing investigation.”
