Investigators are searching for a man who helped a woman after she was sexually assaulted in Dumfries last month.
The attack happened around 9.45pm on June 7 within a close on High Street.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, however, officers are keen to speak to a man who stopped to help the woman following the sexual assault.
Detective constable Richard Davidson said: “We understand that incidents of this nature can cause concern for the local community but please be assured we are doing everything we can to identify the person responsible.
“We have carried out extensive enquiries so far, including reviewing CCTV, and I believe this man may be able to assist with our investigation, and I would urge him to get in touch with us.
“If anyone who was in the area at this time has private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage from that evening, please check for anything which may be of significance and contact police.”
