An investigation has been launched after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in Glasgow city centre.
Police received a report of a woman having been sexually assaulted on Virginia Place, in the Merchant City area, around 3.20am on Saturday.
An area near The Corinthian Club remained cordoned off on Saturday, with officers guarding the scene.
Investigations are said to be at an early stage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are investigating a report of the sexual assault of a woman which occurred in Virginia Place, Glasgow, around 3.20am on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
“Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances.”
