A woman has been taken to hospital following a fire at a housing complex in East Renfrewshire.
Four appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to a housing complex on Main Street, Barrhead, at around 4pm on Thursday.
A woman was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Her current condition is unknown at this stage.
Firefighters remain at the scene as they attempt to extinguish the flames.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a fire at a premises on Main Street, Barrhead, around 4pm on Thursday, 25 April, 2024.
“Emergency services are in attendance and one woman has been taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 3.56pm on Thursday, 25 April to reports of a fire within a housing complex on Main Street, Barrhead.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene and firefighters are working to extinguish the flames.”
