Woman taken to hospital and man arrested after incident at flat

A woman has been taken to hospital following an incident within a flat in East Kilbride on Monday.

Emergency services were called to the property in the town’s Calderwood area at around 8.05am.

A 35-year-old woman was taken to Hairmyres Hospital after the incident took place.

Officers arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the disturbance.

An investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.05am on Monday, September 22, 2025, we were called to a flat in East Kilbride.

“A 45-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

“A 35-year-old woman was taken to Hairmyres Hospital.”
