The “worried” family of a man who disappeared over a year ago in North Lanarkshire have issued a plea for information.

Kevin Young was last seen in Wishaw on Tuesday, July 30 2024 in the Glasgow Road area of the town.

The 40-year-old also had connections in the Harestone Crescent area of Wishaw.

He is originally from Dundee and enquiries found that he may have travelled to the city around November 2024.

He is described as white, 5ft 9ins with short, brown hair.

In a statement, his family said: “All of Kevin’s friends and family, especially his brother, are worried about Kevin.

“We want to know where he is and that he’s okay. If anyone has any information about Kevin please get in touch.”

Sergeant Chris Grey said: “It is unusual for Kevin not to be in touch with family and friends for such a long time and it is now a year since he was last seen.

“Concerns continue for his welfare. We need to trace him to make sure he is safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who has seen Kevin or knows where he might be to get in touch. We are also asking Kevin to make contact if he hears about this appeal.”

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 0786 of Sunday, January 5, 2025.
