A dog was euthanised after injuring a teenager outside a block of flats in North Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to the entrance of Oakfield High Rise, in Motherwell’s Anderson Street after the 18-year-old man was attacked at around 11.20am on Wednesday.
Officers confirmed that the teen was taken to hospital for treatment.
The dog, understood to be a bully type dog, was put down following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.20am on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, police received a report of a dog having injured an 18-year-old man on Anderson Street, Motherwell.
“The man was taken to hospital for treatment. The dog has been euthanised.”
