Tesco has removed a salad from its shelves and issued a “do not eat” warning due to allergy concerns.

The retail giant, issuing a recall notice via the Food Standards Agency, urged customers not to eat its celery, fruit and nut salad.

The product contains mustard which is not mentioned on the label, presenting a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard.

The recall notice affects pack sizes of 300g with a best-before date of December 2, 2025.

Customers who have purchased the affected date code of the salad and have an allergy or intolerance to mustard are asked to return it to any Tesco store for a full refund.

No receipt is required and no other Tesco products are affected by the recall notice.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
