A Colombian man has been arrested for attempting to smuggle more than $10,400 (£8,290) worth of cocaine to the Netherlands by hiding it under his toupee.

The 40-year-old, who has a prior drug trafficking charge, was caught at Rafael Núñez International Airport on February 20 after police flagged him through surveillance, profiling, and a scanner check.

Officers found 19 capsules of cocaine hidden under his toupee.

He now faces charges of drug trafficking, manufacturing, and possession.
