A health foods company has pulled its granola from supermarket shelves across the UK due to fears of insect infestation in the packages.

Rude Health Foods issued the urgent recall notice via the Food Standards Agency (FSA) for its Chocolate Crunch Granola due to the possible presence of insects inside.

The company said the notice affects 400g packs with a best-before date of October 24, 2025.

The granola is sold in supermarkets such as Tesco and online grocer Ocado.

No other batches of the chocolate crunch granola or other Rude Health products are said to be affected.

The company said it “sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused” to customers.

Those who purchased the product are asked not to eat it and to return to the store where it was purchased for a full refund with no receipt required.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the product.
