Several people have been killed and others are missing after an explosion at an ammunition factory in Tennessee.
The blast happened at Accurate Energetic Systems, a company which makes and tests explosives at a town around 100km south-west of Nashville.
Some 19 people are currently unaccounted for, according to reports.
Further explosions at the site prevented emergency crews from entering the site, where flames and heavy smoke were seen rising from a debris field.
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said: “We do have several people at this time unaccounted for. We are trying to be mindful of families and that situation.
“We do have some that are deceased.”
Local television station WTVF-TV received calls from people in the area reporting a large explosion, with some residents feeling the blast miles from the site.
Those a 20-minute drive from the scene, said they felt their homes shake and some people captured the loud boom of the explosion on doorbell and CCTV cameras.
