Ten injured after car drives into crowd of rugby fans in Australia

A two-year-old child was among those wounded in the incident, according to New South Wales Police.

At least ten people have been injured in after a car drove into a crowd north of Sydney on Saturday, according to Australian authorities.

New South Wales Police said two of those wounded, a five-year-old girl and a 67-year-old man, are in a critical condition in hospital.

The other eight people were in a stable condition, including two girls aged two and five.

The crowd were standing on the road to cheer on the Newcastle Knights rugby team.

Police said they arrested the 18-year-old man driving the vehicle and were investigating what happened. They said the crash was not believed to be related to terrorism.

Another large crowd was on the street on Saturday morning to see the team bus off ahead of the rugby league finals match on Sunday.
