Chocolate products sold at major supermarkets such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s have been pulled from the shelves after “pieces of metal” and “small stones” were found.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued urgent recall notices on two Tony’s Chocolonely products after it was found they may contain small stones.

Customers who purchased the Dark Almond Sea Salt bars and Everything bars are being urged not to eat the products.

The affected batch includes the 180g pack sizes with a best-before date of February 28, 2026 and April 2, 2026, for the Dark Almond Sea Salt bars.

For the Everything bars, the 180g pack sizes dated November 26, 27 and 28 2025 are affected.

Customers should return the products to the store from where they were bought for a refund or replacement.

Tony’s products are sold at major supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda.

Point of sale notices will also be displayed in all retail stores that are selling the bars.

A Tony’s Chocolonely spokesperson said: “We are extremely sorry to have to issue this recall, and for the inconvenience that this will cause people who purchased these.”

Meanwhile another recall notice was issued via the FSA for Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Belgian Milk Chocolate Honeycomb Pretzel.

The supermarket chain said the possible presence of metal was found in the products.
