Two firefighting helicopters have crashed into each other during an operation near Athens as Greece continues to face raging wildfires amid a heatwave across Europe.
In a statement, the Greek fire service said the two BELL helicopters were carrying two people each when they crashed in the wider area of Psatha, Attica.
Video footage seen by ITV News shows one helicopter bursting into flames, with another one appearing less damaged.
The two helicopters had been leased by the fire department and had taken off from Elefsina military airport.
A search and rescue operation is now under way, with the condition of the crew on board one of the helicopters yet to be confirmed.
