Police are on the hunt for a male driver with long purple hair with blue streaks after a 12-year-old boy was approached after school.
The youngster was walking along Station Road West in Aberdeen’s Peterculter area when he was accosted by the man at around 3.30pm on Tuesday.
The man did not get out of the car, however officers are appealing for information to trace the driver to establish the circumstances of the incident.
Police said the man had distinctive long purple hair with blue streaks.
He was wearing a jacket that had a light-blue coloured hood and black cuffs. He was also wearing sunglasses.
Sergeant Kevin Souter said: “We have been carrying out enquiries in the local area and checking CCTV footage to gather more information on this report.
“I would ask anyone who recognises this man’s description, or anyone who was in the area at the time who can assist our enquiry, to contact us through 101.”
