A stretch of the A90 in Aberdeenshire has been closed following a serious road crash.
A man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Emergency services were alerted to the one-vehicle smash at around 7.40am on Tuesday.
The incident happened on the southbound road, north of Balmedie.
Police said the road has been closed near the Newburgh junction.
Local diversions have been put in place with motorists urged to avoid the area if they can.
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Enquiries are ongoing.”
