Scotland has recorded 1054 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours – the highest daily number so far.
There has been one death from the virus in this period, taking the total under this measure – patients who died within 28 days of first testing positive – to 2533.
The new cases represented 13% of newly-tested individuals, down from 13.2% on Tuesday.
The jump of more than 1000 is the highest daily spike in cases since 806 were recorded on September 29.
Of the new cases, 410 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 195 in Lanarkshire and 190 in Lothian.
