A teenager has been charged after two police officers ‘assaulted’ while responding to disturbance in Aberdeenshire.
Police were called to a property on Christie Court in Huntly around 3.15pm on Wednesday, September 4 following reports of a disturbance.
Two male officers responding to the call were said to have been assaulted at the scene and a taser was discharged.
The teenager was arrested and charged in connection. The police officers did not require medical treatment.
A 35-year-old woman was also arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Police said the incident has been referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers attended at a property on Christie Court, Huntly, around 3.15pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 in relation to an ongoing enquiry.
“A disturbance occurred where two male officers were assaulted. They did not require medical treatment.
“A 15-year-old was arrested and charged in connection and a report will be sent to the relevant authority.
“A 35-year-old woman was also arrested and charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“A Taser was discharged during this incident.
“As part of standard procedure, the circumstances of the incident were referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.”
