Rangers duo Todd Cantwell and Kieran Dowell are to miss the next three or four games through injury.
The pair both have knee problems that will require a spell on the sidelines and see them miss important matches.
Rangers manager Michael Beale explained that Cantwell had picked up the injury during the 1-0 defeat to Celtic at Ibrox, while Dowell had suffered “a strange reaction” to an existing injury that has seen him out of action since August 22.
The manager believes the pair will definitely miss this weekend’s trip to St Johnstone, the home Europa League game against Real Betis and next week’s league game against Motherwell at Ibrox.
They will also be a doubt for the Viaplay Cup quarter-final against Livingston.
Beale said: “Todd Cantwell will unfortunately miss the next three or four games as a result of the challenge at the end of the game.
“Kieran Dowell is the same but other than that everyone else is fit and raring to go. Todd had a problem with his knee, he played on.
“We had to send him for a scan, we thought it might be worse than what it was. Kieran has had a strange reaction with his knee.
“He is out jogging but we have to see how that goes.”
