A woman who was told she is cancer-free in 2020 is finally getting to celebrate the good news with loved ones after a year in lockdown.
Claire Harper, from Glasgow, has been shielding due to the coronavirus pandemic since the first lockdown began.
The 26-year-old was told in March, 2020, that she no longer needed treatment for Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma.
However, the entire UK was placed under strict lockdown that same week amid the spread of Covid-19 and Claire never got the chance to share her good news properly.
She told STV News: “My life has been a bit in limbo. It has been put on pause for the past two years.”
One year on, Claire is finally able to celebrate her health with friends as Covid restrictions ease across the country.
She added: “As shielding is coming to an end, I’m really looking forward to getting that bit of life normality back.”
