Concern is growing for a missing teenager who vanished from her home on Christmas Day.

Sophie O’Hagan, from East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire, was last seen at her home address on Elphinstone Crescent at around 8.30pm on Saturday.

The 17-year-old has not been in touch with any friends or family since and police are now appealing for the public’s help in tracing her.

She is described as being around 5ft5 with an average build and short dark hair and when she was last seen she was wearing a green dress.

It is believed that she may have travelled to Glasgow.

Officers investigating the case have asked anyone who knows of Sophie’s whereabouts, or who believes they could have seen someone matching her description since Christmas Day, to contact them on 101.
