An incredible once-in-a-lifetime concert honouring the early years of Fleetwood Mac will be screened in cinemas across the country next month.

Mick Fleetwood has assembled a stellar cast of musicians to pay tribute to founding member Peter Green, who passed away last year.

The concert, captured at The London Palladium in February 2020, features the likes of Neil Finn (Crowded House), Noel Gallagher (Oasis), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Pete Townshend (The Who), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones) and Christine McVie, Rick Vito and Jeremy Spencer (Fleetwood Mac).

Tracks performed at the event include seminal Fleetwood Mac classics, such as Albatross, Green Manalishi, Need Your Love, and more.

Green, who was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac, had a huge impact on the band. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame together with Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and was rated by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.

Directed by award-winning concert director Martyn Atkins (Joni 75, Crossroads Guitar Festival, Cream at the Royal Albert Hall), the cinema event features an introduction by Fleetwood, plus exclusive rehearsal footage and interviews with the guest artists.

Legendary sound producer Glynn Johns, who produced albums for The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles and Led Zeppelin, took charge of the audio production.

On the show coming to cinemas, Fleetwood said: “I’m thrilled that our wonderful tribute concert to my friend and mentor, Peter Green, is headed to the big screen.

“Fleetwood Mac fans will get the opportunity to see this amazing show as if they were sitting in the stalls that night.

“The generous spirit of love and admiration from all of our wonderful guests that night highlight the legacy of those early years of Fleetwood Mac songs.

“It’s immensely fulfilling to know that this show will live on forever – just like Peter’s amazing music.”

Mick Fleetwood & Friends will hit the big screen on September 7 and 12.
