A body has been found during an “extensive” search for a woman who disappeared from Perth four days ago.
Clare Marshall was believed to have left the Dundee Road area of the city in the early hours of Monday and walked to Moncreiffe Island.
Specialist resources, including the police helicopter, had been searching for the 64-year-old.
Shortly before 1pm on Thursday, a woman’s body was discovered in the River Tay near Moncrieffe Island.
While she has not been formally identified, officers believe the woman to be Ms Marshall, and her family have been informed.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
