Olivia Rodrigo has announced a world tour following the release of her sophomore album with a date in Glasgow.
The 20-year-old pop superstar who shot to musical stardom in 2019 will bring the Guts world tour to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on May 7 2024.
The US singer-songwriter, whose second album Guts was released on September 8, will also bring the show to Dublin, Manchester, London and Birmingham as part of the UK leg.
While the show was just announced, eagle-eyed fans spotted an Easter egg in her ‘Making the Bed’ lyric video suggesting that the multi Grammy award winning singer would embark on a world tour.
On September 12, arenas in the US and Europe started teasing ‘tomORrow’ announcements on their socials in her signature purple colour, prompting speculation amongst fans.
The pop star last played in Glasgow in 2022, however thousands of fans were left disappointed as she played the O2 Academy which has a capacity of just 2,550.
Fans will have more of a chance to secure tickets on her second tour as she is set to play Scotland’s largest entertainment venue.
Tickets will go on sale on September 21 at 3pm. Fans looking to purchase tickets will have to register for the sale.
