Girl, 12, and boy, 14, charged with 'assault' of elderly woman in woods

Two children have been charged in connection with the alleged assault of a 74-year-old in Blairgowrie.

A 14-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were charged with assault and threatening and abusive behaviour following an incident in the area of Ardblair Woods around 6pm on Saturday, March 30.

The woman was unhurt but “extremely shocked” by the incident, police said.

A second 14-year-old boy was also charged with threatening and abusive behaviour.

They will be reported to the Youth Justice Assessor.
