Police are treating the death of a man whose body was recovered from the River Clyde as unexplained.
Emergency services were called to the Clyde Street area around 10.30pm on Wednesday following reports of concern for a person.
A search of the area was carried out.
At around 5.40am on Thursday, a man’s body was pulled from the water near Broomielaw.
Investigators are treating the incident as unexplained but the death is not believed to be suspicious.
A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30pm on Wednesday, March 26, we received a report of a concern for a person in the Clyde Street area of Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and an extensive search was carried out.
“Around 5.40am on Thursday, March 27, the body of a man was recovered from the River Clyde near to Broomielaw.
“The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
