A suspect has been charged months after an elderly man died in hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.
The 86-year-old pedestrian was hit by a Mercedes GLE at around 5.20pm on Stamperland Crescent at the Clarkston Toll roundabout on Friday, May 17.
The pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries, but died in hospital on Thursday, 23 May. No one else was injured in the incident.
On Monday, police confirmed a 55-year-old man has been charged with causing death by careless driving and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
He is expected to appear in court in due course.
