The bodies of a man and a woman have been discovered at a property in Fife.
Officers were called to an address in Orchardgate, Cupar at around 12.40pm on Tuesday following reports of concern for a person.
A 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the deaths has not been confirmed.
It is understood emergency services taped off the street as investigations took place.
Police said the deaths are not thought to be suspicious and that a report would be issued to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.40pm on Tuesday, we received a report of a concern for person at a property in Orchardgate, Cupar.
“Emergency services attended and the bodies of a 23-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were found within.
“The deaths are not thought to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were requested at 1.08pm on Tuesday, May 16, to assist our emergency service partners at Cupar’s Orchardgate.
“Operations Control mobilised a number of appliances to the area, where firefighters assisted their partners before leaving the scene.”
